In the last update, I talked about modifying the receiving building. After that was complete, I turned my attention to the grade crossing. I constructed this using techniques previously described on my blog. This time, instead of making the crossing concrete, I used stripwood on the inside of the track.
Next, I glued the brick fence in place and constructed gates using the gates in the fence kit and some stripwood.
I wanted to be able to move the gates freely, so I glued .032 inch music wire to the gate, inserted into metal tubing in the ground.
I started scratchbuilding a pulp tank from some empty tape spools.
While waiting for some glue to dry, I took a break from modeling and organized the workbench.
